Castelverrino
Castelverrino is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Isernia in the Italian region Molise, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Campobasso and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Isernia.
Castelverrino borders the following municipalities: Agnone, Belmonte del Sannio, Pescopennataro, Roasio. It is a small, primarily agricultural town located in the Apennine Mountains. The economy is based mainly on farming and livestock. The patron saint of Castelverrino is Saint Lucy. The town's architecture is typical of small Italian hill towns, characterized by narrow, winding streets and stone buildings. Its history is linked to the surrounding area of Molise, sharing a past influenced by various civilizations, including the Samnites and Romans.
