Joshua Child (judge)

Joshua Child is an American judge serving as a United States Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. He was appointed to the bench on August 1, 2023. Prior to his appointment, Child was a prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Arizona, where he served in the Violent Crime and Gang Section. He also served as the District's Tribal Liaison. Child is a member of the Navajo Nation and a graduate of Arizona State University College of Law. His work has focused on issues involving public safety and Indian Country.
