Childhood (band)

Childhood were a British indie rock band formed in Nottingham, England, in 2010. The band consisted of Leo Dobro (vocals/guitar), Ben Romans-Hopcraft (guitar), Daniel Salamone (bass), and Jonny Williams (drums).

Childhood gained attention for their jangly, guitar-driven sound, often drawing comparisons to early 1990s indie bands such as The Stone Roses and Ride. They released two studio albums: Lacuna in 2014 and Universal High in 2017.

Lacuna, released on Marathon Artists, received generally positive reviews and showcased their melodic songwriting and psychedelic influences. The album featured singles like "Blue Velvet" and "Solemn Skies."

Universal High, their second album, saw a shift towards a more expansive and soulful sound, incorporating elements of funk and psychedelia. The album demonstrated a growth in their songwriting and production, although it received a somewhat more mixed critical reception than their debut.

Childhood toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, playing festivals and supporting other prominent indie bands. The band was known for their energetic live performances.

Childhood announced their disbandment in 2018, citing creative differences and a desire to pursue other projects.
