Agnontas
Agnontas is a small fishing village located on the island of Skopelos in the Sporades archipelago of Greece. It is situated on the southwest coast of the island and is known for its sheltered harbor, which offers protection from strong northerly winds.
The village is named after Agnontas, an ancient Olympic champion from Skopelos. Legend has it that Agnontas landed at this location after being blown off course during a storm.
Agnontas is a popular tourist destination, particularly known for its seafood restaurants located directly on the harbor front. Fresh fish and traditional Greek cuisine are readily available. The village also has a small beach and offers boat trips to nearby islands and secluded coves.
The harbor at Agnontas is used by both fishing boats and tourist vessels. It plays a significant role in the local economy, supporting both the fishing industry and tourism.
