Dafnousia
Dafnousia is a small, uninhabited islet located in the Aegean Sea, belonging to the Sporades island group of Greece. It lies northeast of the larger island of Alonissos. The island is characterized by its rocky terrain and sparse vegetation, typical of many small Aegean islands.
Administratively, Dafnousia falls under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Alonissos.
The island is not known for any significant human activity or historical events. Its primary importance lies in its ecological value, serving as a habitat for various seabirds and marine life. The surrounding waters are often included in protected marine areas due to their biodiversity.
While not a tourist destination, Dafnousia is occasionally visited by researchers studying the Aegean ecosystem and by sailors navigating the area. Its relatively isolated location contributes to its preservation as a natural habitat.
