Aegialeus
Aegialeus (Ancient Greek: Αἰγιαλεύς) was, in Greek mythology, one of the sons of Inachus and the brother of Phoroneus and Io. He is considered the founder of Aegialea (later known as Sicyon), and the region was named after him. He died childless and was succeeded by his brother Phoroneus. Sources differ slightly on the exact parentage, with some accounts identifying Argia as his mother. Generally, he is considered a primordial figure representing the early inhabitants or mythical origins of the region around Sicyon.
