Barry Callaghan (footballer)

Barry Callaghan (born March 29, 1937) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Callaghan, a rover, played 35 games for Essendon between 1957 and 1961. He was a member of Essendon's 1957 VFL Grand Final team which lost to Melbourne. He represented Victoria in interstate football.

After leaving Essendon, Callaghan joined Coburg in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), where he became a premiership player. He later coached Williamstown in the VFA.
