Blissed Out (Dum Dum Girls album)

Blissed Out is the third and final studio album by the American rock band Dum Dum Girls, released on August 27, 2013, on Sub Pop Records.

The album represents a departure from the band's earlier, more lo-fi garage rock sound, incorporating elements of dream pop and shoegaze. This shift resulted in a more polished and atmospheric sound, characterized by layered guitars, reverb-drenched vocals, and a greater emphasis on texture and mood.

Lyrically, Blissed Out explores themes of loss, addiction, and personal transformation. The album's title reflects the complex relationship between euphoria and oblivion, hinting at the often-fragile nature of happiness and the potential for self-destruction.

The album was produced by Richard Gottehrer and Sune Rose Wagner, the latter being the frontman of the Danish band The Raveonettes.
