The 2014 Orange Bowl, played on December 31, 2014, was a college football bowl game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, champions of the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who received an at-large bid from the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The game was part of the 2014-15 bowl season and was one of the College Football Playoff New Year's Six bowl games. It was played at Sun Life Stadium (now Hard Rock Stadium) in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Mississippi State entered the game ranked 7th in the College Football Playoff rankings, while Georgia Tech was ranked 12th. Mississippi State was favored to win.
