Attila was formed by Chris Fronzak, Sean Heenan, Sam Halcomb, Matt Stokes, and Kris Wilson. The band gained early attention through online promotion and independent releases. They signed with Artery Recordings in 2010 and released their breakthrough album, Rage, that same year.

Attila continued to release albums throughout the 2010s, including Outlawed (2011), About That Life (2013), Guilty Pleasure (2014), Chaos (2016), Villain (2019), and Closure (2021). Their music often incorporates elements of humor and self-parody.
