ZZ Top

ZZ Top is an American rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. The band consists of Billy Gibbons (guitar, vocals), Dusty Hill (bass, vocals), and Frank Beard (drums). While Dusty Hill passed away in 2021 and was replaced by Elwood Francis at Hill's request, Hill's contributions remain an integral part of the band's legacy.

ZZ Top is known for its blues-rock sound, incorporating elements of boogie-woogie and hard rock. The band achieved mainstream success in the 1970s and 1980s, solidifying their reputation with hits such as "La Grange," "Tush," "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Sharp Dressed Man," and "Legs."

A defining characteristic of ZZ Top's image during their most commercially successful period was the long beards sported by Gibbons and Hill (Beard, ironically, did not have a beard). Their consistent lineup and distinctive style contributed to their longevity and status as one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
