Gary Wright (ice hockey)
Gary Wright (born August 12, 1939) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. A centre, Wright played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA).
Career
Wright began his professional career in the Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL) with the Kingston Frontenacs in 1960. He played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Hershey Bears, Springfield Indians, Quebec Aces, and Providence Reds throughout the 1960s.
Wright made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens during the 1962-63 season, appearing in two games. He later played for the Los Angeles Kings from 1967 to 1969, recording 22 points in 75 games.
In 1972, Wright joined the World Hockey Association (WHA) with the Philadelphia Blazers. He subsequently played for the Vancouver Blazers, Michigan Stags, and Baltimore Blades before retiring from professional hockey in 1975.
