Ian Thomas (dressmaker)

Ian Thomas (1929-1993) was a British dressmaker and couturier known for his elegant and sophisticated designs, particularly his bridal gowns. He began his career in the 1950s, working for Norman Hartnell before establishing his own label in the 1960s. Thomas gained significant recognition as a favored designer of the British Royal Family. He designed numerous outfits for Princess Anne, including her wedding dress in 1973. His work was characterized by its classic silhouettes, exquisite craftsmanship, and attention to detail. He continued to create designs for private clients until his death in 1993.
