Willie Irvine (footballer, born 1956)

Willie Irvine (born 12 November 1956) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer. He played as a forward.

Irvine began his career with Distillery in the Irish League, where his goalscoring prowess quickly attracted attention. He moved to England to join Preston North End in 1978. He spent several years at Deepdale, becoming a popular figure with the fans.

Following his time with Preston North End, Irvine returned to Northern Ireland and played for several clubs, including Crusaders and Cliftonville. He also represented Northern Ireland at youth level.
