William Wynne (judge)

William Wynne (1741-1815) was a Welsh judge and legal scholar. He served as Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge from 1803 until his death.

Wynne was educated at Jesus College, Oxford, and later at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He graduated with a law degree from Cambridge in 1764 and was elected a Fellow of Trinity Hall.

He practiced civil law and was appointed King's Advocate-General in 1791, a position he held until 1809. He also served as Chancellor of the Diocese of London.

Wynne was knighted in 1793. He authored several legal works, including Life of Sir Leoline Jenkins (1724) and edited Collectanea Juridica.
