Off-White (company)
Off-White is an Italian luxury fashion label founded by American designer Virgil Abloh in 2012. The company combines streetwear and high fashion aesthetics and is known for its use of quotation marks, zip ties, diagonal stripes, and industrial branding motifs.
Initially based in Milan, Italy, Off-White designs and manufactures a variety of apparel, accessories, and lifestyle items for men and women. Its product line includes clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and dresses, as well as shoes, bags, and jewelry.
Off-White gained significant popularity through collaborations with established brands like Nike, IKEA, and Evian. These partnerships often resulted in limited-edition releases and generated considerable media attention.
Following Virgil Abloh's death in November 2021, the creative direction of Off-White was taken over by Ib Kamara. The brand continues to operate and maintain its presence in the luxury fashion market.
Off-White operates both through its own retail stores and through partnerships with major department stores and online retailers. The company's aesthetic and marketing strategies have been influential in shaping contemporary fashion trends and in blurring the lines between streetwear and high fashion.
