Pabstite
Pabstite is a rare barium silicate mineral with the chemical formula Ba(Sn,Ti)Si3O9. It is structurally related to benitoite and wadeite. Pabstite is typically found in metamorphic rocks and is characterized by its hexagonal crystal system. It often appears as colorless to white, sometimes with a slight yellow or grey tint. Its hardness is around 6 on the Mohs scale, and it exhibits vitreous luster. Pabstite is relatively rare and is primarily of interest to mineral collectors and researchers due to its unique chemical composition and crystal structure. It was named in honor of Adolf Pabst, a professor of mineralogy at the University of California, Berkeley.
