Sabata (city)

Sabata is a town located in the Bono East Region of Ghana. It is situated approximately 30 kilometers east of Techiman, the regional capital. Primarily an agricultural community, Sabata's economy relies heavily on farming, particularly the cultivation of crops like yam, maize, cassava, and plantain. The town also serves as a local trading hub for surrounding villages.

Sabata is governed by a traditional chief and elders, who play a significant role in local decision-making and maintaining cultural heritage. Basic amenities, including schools and health facilities, are present within the town, although access to more specialized services often requires travel to larger urban centers. The population of Sabata is predominantly Akan, with the Twi language being widely spoken.
