Scott Cyr
Scott Cyr is a Canadian politician and businessman. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta representing the constituency of Bonnyville-Cold Lake (later Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul) from 2012 to 2019. He was elected as a member of the Wildrose Party, which later merged with the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta to form the United Conservative Party (UCP). He subsequently sat as a UCP MLA.
During his time in the legislature, Cyr served on various committees and focused on issues affecting rural Alberta, particularly related to resource development, agriculture, and infrastructure. He was known for his advocacy for the energy sector and his involvement in debates regarding environmental regulations and economic diversification. Prior to entering provincial politics, Cyr was involved in the oil and gas industry. He did not seek re-election in the 2019 Alberta general election.
