James Mason (neo-Nazi)

James Mason (born July 25, 1952) is an American neo-Nazi and author known for his advocacy of revolutionary neo-Nazism and accelerationism. He is most notable for his book Siege, a compilation of newsletters he wrote in the 1980s and early 1990s. Siege promotes leaderless resistance, terrorism, and the overthrow of the existing social and political order to establish a white ethnostate.

Mason's ideology is rooted in National Socialism but also incorporates elements of occultism and esotericism. He was associated with the National Socialist Liberation Front and the Universal Order, a group influenced by Charles Manson. He later became affiliated with the Atomwaffen Division, a now-defunct neo-Nazi terrorist group that praised Siege.

Mason's Siege has become a significant influence on accelerationist thought within far-right extremist circles, advocating for the use of violence and chaos to hasten the collapse of society and the rise of a white nationalist regime. He has argued for the necessity of a "total revolution" to achieve these goals, even if it requires extreme measures.

While he has maintained a relatively low public profile in recent years, his writings continue to be widely circulated and discussed online, influencing subsequent generations of neo-Nazis and white supremacists. His advocacy for leaderless resistance and decentralized terrorism has made him a key figure in the development of modern far-right extremism. He is considered a dangerous and influential figure within the white supremacist movement.
