Walter Abbott (American football)
Walter Abbott (dates of birth and death unknown) was an American football player and coach.
Abbott played college football at Dartmouth College in the late 19th century. He served as the head football coach at the University of Maine in 1892, leading the team to a record of 4-1. He also coached at Colby College in 1893, achieving a record of 2-4. Information about his life outside of his brief coaching career is scarce.
