Peter Monau

Peter Monau (1521 - 1571) was a German humanist, physician, scholar, and bibliophile. Born in Breslau (Wrocław), Silesia, he served as the personal physician to several notable figures, including the Silesian Duke Henry XI of Liegnitz.

Monau is best remembered for his extensive library, which contained a significant collection of classical, humanist, and medical texts.
