Vlasače
Vlasače (pronounced Vla-sa-che) is a Czech word with multiple meanings depending on the context. Primarily, it refers to a type of fine-leaved chives, botanically known as Allium schoenoprasum. These chives are commonly used as a herb in Czech cuisine, adding a mild onion-like flavor to dishes. They are often sprinkled fresh on soups, salads, sandwiches, and egg dishes.
Beyond its culinary meaning, "vlasače" can also be used informally to refer to hair, particularly fine or thin hair, though this usage is less common than the culinary one. It is derived from "vlasy," the standard Czech word for hair.
The term can sometimes also describe a specific type of fishing lure used to attract certain fish species.
