Dansiea
Dansiea is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Begoniaceae. It is endemic to Vietnam. The genus was established in 2003 by C. Y. Wu and T. C. Ku. Dansiea species are characterized by their unique morphological features, which distinguish them from other genera within the Begoniaceae family. Further research is ongoing to fully understand the phylogenetic relationships and species diversity within the Dansiea genus. The genus is named in honor of Dansie, a significant contributor to Begoniaceae research. Conservation efforts are important to protect these rare and localized species, as they are vulnerable to habitat loss.
