Villaga

Villaga is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Vicenza in the Italian region Veneto, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Venice and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Vicenza.

Villaga is situated in the Colli Berici hills and is characterized by a rural landscape. The area is known for its agricultural production, including wine, olives, and cherries.

As of December 31, 2004, it had a population of 1,905 and an area of 23.2 square kilometers (9.0 sq mi).

The municipality of Villaga contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Belvedere, Pozzolo, and Toara.

Villaga borders the following municipalities: Albettone, Barbarano Mossano, Grancona, Nanto, Noventa Vicentina, Sossano.

The economy of Villaga is primarily based on agriculture and small-scale industry. Tourism, particularly related to the Colli Berici wine region, is also important.
