Sarah Murray (ice hockey)

Sarah Murray (born August 12, 1988) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. She is best known for her coaching career, particularly her role as the head coach of the South Korean women's national ice hockey team.

Murray began her coaching career shortly after her own playing career ended, initially working with youth teams. In 2014, she was appointed head coach of the South Korean women's national ice hockey team, tasked with preparing the team for the 2018 Winter Olympics, which were held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Under Murray's leadership, the South Korean team showed significant improvement, moving up in the IIHF world rankings. Her focus on player development, strategic gameplay, and team unity was widely credited with the team's progress. During the 2018 Olympics, despite facing strong competition, the team gained international attention and inspired many aspiring hockey players in South Korea.
