Vilʹev (crater)
Vilʹev is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the southwest of the larger crater Perrine, and northeast of Innes.
This is a relatively well-defined crater with a sharp-edged, circular rim that has suffered only minor erosion. The inner walls slope down evenly to the somewhat uneven interior floor. There is a small central peak at the midpoint of the crater floor. A few tiny craterlets lie along the inner walls, but otherwise the crater is relatively featureless.
Vilʹev lies within the South Pole-Aitken basin.
