Jim Pye
Jim Pye (born c. 1950s/1960s) is a former BBC Television weatherman who presented weather forecasts primarily for BBC North West Tonight. He joined the BBC in 1985 and retired in September 2011. He was known for his distinctive style and delivery, often incorporating local landmarks and points of interest into his forecasts. Pye frequently used props and visual aids to illustrate weather patterns, and was regarded as a popular and recognizable figure in regional television. His career at the BBC spanned over 25 years, making him one of the longest-serving weather presenters in the North West region. Since his retirement, he has occasionally made appearances at local events.
