USS Rentz

The USS Rentz has been the name of two ships in the United States Navy, both named in honor of Admiral Ernest Frederic Rentz.

• USS Rentz (DD-138): A Wickes-class destroyer commissioned in 1919. She served primarily in the Atlantic and Mediterranean during the interwar period. During World War II, she performed convoy escort duty in the Atlantic and participated in the invasion of North Africa. She was decommissioned in 1945 and scrapped in 1946.

• USS Rentz (FFG-46): An Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigate commissioned in 1984. She participated in various operations including maritime interdiction operations and counter-narcotics efforts. She was decommissioned in 2014 and subsequently transferred to the Bahrain Royal Naval Force, where she was renamed Sabha.
