David Sanger (organist)

David Sanger is a British concert organist, teacher, and pedagogue. He is known for his interpretations of a wide range of organ repertoire, from early music to contemporary works. Sanger has performed extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Australia, appearing in venues such as Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, St. Paul's Cathedral in London, and the Sydney Opera House.

Sanger is particularly regarded for his knowledge of organ history and performance practice. He gives masterclasses and workshops worldwide, focusing on aspects such as registration, articulation, and ornamentation. He has also published articles and recordings on these topics.

He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and with Marie-Claire Alain in Paris. In addition to his performance career, Sanger is also active as a consultant for organ design and restoration projects. He has served as an advisor on numerous projects, contributing his expertise to the creation and preservation of significant instruments.
