William Cain (cricketer)
William Cain (born 25 December 1866, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire in 1895.
Cain was born in Sheffield. He made his debut for Derbyshire against Lancashire in May 1895, when he opened the batting with Levi Wright. He played two further matches in the season, against Warwickshire and Hampshire. He was a right-handed batsman and played 3 innings in 3 first-class matches with a top score of 9 and an average of 3.00. He was a right-arm medium-pace bowler and took one wicket for 27 runs.
His career with Derbyshire was brief and no further details of his life are known.
