Logan Jones (American football)

Logan Jones is an American football center for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. He previously played defensive line for the Hawkeyes before transitioning to center in 2022.

Born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jones was a highly touted recruit out of Lewis Central High School. He was a multi-sport athlete, excelling in football, wrestling, and track and field. In high school football, he played both offensive and defensive line, earning All-State honors on multiple occasions.

Jones committed to the University of Iowa in 2020 and initially joined the team as a defensive lineman. He saw limited playing time on defense during his first two seasons. In 2022, he made the switch to center to address a need on the offensive line. He quickly adapted to the position and became the starting center for the Hawkeyes, demonstrating his athleticism and intelligence. Jones was recognized for his performance and named to multiple All-Big Ten Conference teams. He is known for his strength, technique, and leadership on the offensive line.
