Junglee (1961 film)

Junglee is a 1961 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Subodh Mukherjee. It stars Shammi Kapoor and Saira Banu in her debut role. The film revolves around Shekhar (Shammi Kapoor), a wealthy and serious businessman who is constrained by his family's strict traditions. He believes in suppressing emotions and living a disciplined life.

During a business trip to Kashmir, Shekhar encounters a free-spirited and cheerful village girl named Rajkumari (Saira Banu), also known as Rajjo. Rajjo lives a simple, joyous life, embracing nature and expressing her emotions openly. Their contrasting personalities lead to initial clashes and humorous misunderstandings.

As Shekhar spends more time with Rajjo, he gradually begins to shed his inhibitions and embrace a more carefree and emotional side of himself. He falls in love with Rajjo and her way of life. The film explores the theme of breaking free from societal constraints and finding happiness in embracing one's true self.
