Alexander Gordon (judge)

Alexander Gordon (born February 19, 1904, died 1993) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 1973 to 1980.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gordon received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

Prior to his service on the Supreme Court, Gordon served as a judge on the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. He was elected to the Supreme Court in 1972 and served until reaching the mandatory retirement age in 1980.

Following his retirement from the Supreme Court, Gordon returned to private practice. His legal career spanned both public service and private practice, marking him as a significant figure in Pennsylvania's legal history. He is remembered for his contributions to the judicial system of Pennsylvania.
