Eddie Holland (album)

Eddie Holland is the self-titled debut album by American soul singer Eddie Holland, released in 1958 on United Artists Records. It is comprised of a collection of pop and R&B flavored tracks showcasing Holland's vocal talent. The album did not chart upon its initial release but is notable as Holland's only full-length studio album as a performer. He would later achieve greater fame and influence as a songwriter and producer for Motown Records, primarily as part of the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team. The album’s tracks reflect the popular music styles of the late 1950s, incorporating elements of doo-wop and early rock and roll.
