Shefayim

Shefayim is a kibbutz located in the central Sharon region of Israel. It falls under the jurisdiction of Hof HaSharon Regional Council.

Founded in 1935 by Jewish immigrants from Lithuania, Poland and Latvia, Shefayim operates as a communal settlement, although like many kibbutzim it has undergone privatization and adapted its economic structure in recent years. Originally based on agriculture, the kibbutz has diversified its economy to include industry and tourism.

A notable landmark within Shefayim is the "Country Club Shefayim," a large recreational complex featuring water parks, sports facilities, and event spaces. This contributes significantly to the kibbutz's income and provides leisure activities for both members and visitors.

The name "Shefayim" is taken from the Book of Isaiah (41:18) and means "bare hills," reflecting the area's landscape at the time of its founding. The kibbutz aims to maintain a balance between its communal values and the demands of a modern economy.
