Revival (Bellowhead album)

Revival is the fourth studio album by the English contemporary folk band Bellowhead, released on 21 April 2014. The album was produced by John Leckie, known for his work with Radiohead and Muse, and marked a shift towards a more polished and rock-influenced sound compared to their earlier, more raw recordings.

The album features a mix of traditional folk songs and original compositions, arranged in Bellowhead's distinctive brass-heavy and energetic style. Standout tracks include "Let Her Run," "Roll the Woodpile Down," and "Black Beetle Pies."

Revival was generally well-received by critics, with many praising the band's musicianship and innovative arrangements. Some critics, however, noted the increased rock influence and questioned whether it fully captured the band's live energy. Commercially, the album was a success, reaching number 12 on the UK Albums Chart and further solidifying Bellowhead's position as one of the leading forces in the contemporary folk scene. The album also garnered a nomination for Best Album at the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
