Debi Rose

Debi Rose is a former American politician who served as a member of the New York City Council, representing the 49th district, which encompasses Staten Island's North Shore.

Rose, a Democrat, was first elected to the City Council in 2009 and served until 2021. During her tenure, she focused on issues such as infrastructure improvements, environmental protection, and public safety. She also championed initiatives related to senior citizen services and youth development.

Prior to her political career, Rose worked in the non-profit sector, focusing on community development and social services. She holds a degree from Wagner College. Her work in the community preceded and informed her approach to local government.
