Tyrone Thompson (politician)

Tyrone Thompson (1967 – 2019) was an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the Nevada Assembly, representing District 17 from 2013 until his death in 2019. Thompson was known for his advocacy for foster children, juvenile justice reform, and mental health awareness.

Prior to his political career, Thompson worked extensively in social services, focusing on at-risk youth. His professional experience deeply influenced his legislative priorities.

In the Nevada Assembly, Thompson served on several committees, including those related to health and human services, education, and judiciary.
