Gerard Noel (politician)

Gerard Noel (born 16 December 1922, died 25 April 1995) was a British Conservative politician. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Rutland and Stamford from 1970 to 1983. Prior to entering Parliament, he was a farmer and landowner. During his time in Parliament, Noel was known for his advocacy for agricultural issues and his focus on the concerns of his rural constituency. He did not hold any ministerial positions. He lost his seat in the 1983 general election to Quentin Davies. He was educated at Ampleforth College. After leaving Parliament, he remained active in local affairs.
