The Root of All Evil (EP)

The Root of All Evil (EP) is an extended play by the Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, released in 2009. The EP consists of re-recordings of tracks from the band's first three albums: Black Earth (1996), Stigmata (1998), and Burning Bridges (1999).

These re-recordings feature Angela Gossow on vocals, replacing Johan Liiva, who was the vocalist on the original albums. The EP aimed to present these older songs with the band's updated lineup and production style, offering a modern take on material originally recorded early in their career. The Root of All Evil (EP) served as a companion piece to the full-length album The Root of All Evil, which contains further re-recordings from the same era.
