The Boyz (American band)

The Boyz (American band), not to be confused with the South Korean boy group of the same name, were an American R&B vocal group active primarily in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They were best known for their hit single "Dial My Heart," which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1988.

The group consisted of Khalil Roundtree, Hakeem Abdul-Samad, and Tajh Abdulsamad. They hailed from Los Angeles, California. The Boyz were often marketed toward a teen audience, with a sound characterized by new jack swing influences and clean-cut image.

After the success of "Dial My Heart," The Boyz released their self-titled debut album in 1988. The album spawned several other singles, although none achieved the same level of commercial success as "Dial My Heart." The group continued to perform and release music into the early 1990s, but ultimately disbanded.

Their music remains a nostalgic touchstone for many fans of late 1980s and early 1990s R&B.
