Ted Wong
Ted Wong (born circa 1937, died November 5, 2010) was a direct student of Bruce Lee in the art of Jeet Kune Do. Wong began training with Lee in 1967 in Los Angeles and continued until Lee's death in 1973. He was considered one of Lee's most dedicated and loyal students, and was certified by Lee to teach Jeet Kune Do.
After Lee's death, Wong dedicated himself to preserving and promoting Lee's original teachings. He taught seminars and workshops internationally, emphasizing the core principles and techniques of Jeet Kune Do as Lee had originally taught them. Wong refrained from adding his own interpretations or modifications, aiming to pass on the art as faithfully as possible. He co-authored the book "Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do Training Secrets" with Dan Inosanto, another of Lee's prominent students. Wong’s efforts contributed significantly to the understanding and preservation of Jeet Kune Do's original philosophy and techniques. He is remembered for his humility, dedication, and commitment to honoring Bruce Lee's legacy.
