Bu Feiyan

Bu Feiyan (步非烟) is a pen name used by Chinese wuxia novelist Xing Yiyao (幸以尧). She is known for writing in a style that blends traditional wuxia elements with modern sensibilities, often focusing on complex characters and intricate plotlines. Bu Feiyan's work has been influential in the development of "xinxin wuxia" (新新武侠), a subgenre characterized by its exploration of psychological and emotional themes, and its departure from some of the more traditional tropes of wuxia literature. Her writing is considered more literary and philosophical compared to some other wuxia authors.
