Nick Job
A "nick job," in the context of project management, construction, or other fields involving detailed tasks, refers to a small, often ad-hoc, task or job, usually of short duration. These jobs are typically incidental to a larger project or overall operation. They are often characterized by their immediate need and relatively simple execution. While not typically formal or part of the original project scope, they contribute to the successful completion of larger goals by addressing smaller, unforeseen issues or requirements. The term can also imply a task that is considered less desirable or of lower priority, handled quickly and efficiently to free up resources for more critical duties.
