The Sun (Hong Kong)

The Sun (Hong Kong) was a Chinese-language tabloid newspaper published in Hong Kong. It was part of the Oriental Press Group, which also publishes Oriental Daily News.

Launched on March 18, 1999, The Sun was known for its sensationalist reporting, often focusing on crime, celebrity gossip, and political scandals. It adopted a similar editorial style to its sister publication, Oriental Daily News, but was positioned as a more downmarket and populist paper.

The newspaper ceased publication on July 1, 2009, citing financial difficulties. The Oriental Press Group attributed the closure to the challenging business environment and declining readership in the newspaper industry.
