Robert Siegel (filmmaker)
Robert Siegel is an American screenwriter and film director. He is best known for writing the screenplays for the films The Wrestler (2008), directed by Darren Aronofsky, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, Big Fan (2009), which he also directed, Turbo (2013), and The Founder (2016). He also co-created the AMC television series Lodge 49 (2018-2019). Siegel often explores themes of ambition, disappointment, and the underbelly of American culture in his work.
