Dalziel and Pascoe (TV series)

Dalziel and Pascoe is a British television crime drama series based on the novels of Reginald Hill. It aired on BBC One from 1996 to 2007, spanning twelve series and a total of 54 episodes. The series starred Warren Clarke as Detective Superintendent Andy Dalziel and Colin Buchanan as Detective Inspector Peter Pascoe.

The show is set in the fictional Yorkshire town of Wetherton and follows the contrasting partnership of the two detectives as they investigate a variety of complex and often disturbing crimes. Dalziel is portrayed as a coarse, politically incorrect, and often abrasive character, while Pascoe is his more thoughtful, educated, and socially conscious counterpart.
