Baseball (band)
Baseball is a Swiss rock and roll band formed in 2009 in Lucerne. They are known for performing rock and roll covers of contemporary pop, R&B, and hip-hop songs, typically re-arranging them into a 1950s rock and roll style. The band consists of five members: Sam Bosshardt (vocals), Pascal Steiner (lead guitar), Marcel Wirz (rhythm guitar), Roman Stalder (bass), and Michael Mutter (drums). Their name is a reference to the American sport and a common theme in 1950s imagery.
The band gained international recognition with their debut album, Strike!, released in 2009, which featured covers of songs by artists such as Rihanna, Usher, and Duffy. Their success led to further albums and tours across Europe. Their renditions often incorporate elements of rockabilly, doo-wop, and other vintage musical styles. Baseball has been praised for their energetic live performances and unique interpretations of popular songs.
