Gate School (Gate, Washington)

Gate School was a small, rural public school located in Gate, Washington. It served the local community for many years, providing education for students in the elementary grades. Specific grade levels served varied throughout its operational history. The school was part of the Rochester School District #401. Due to declining enrollment and budget constraints, Gate School was closed in 2009. The remaining students were absorbed into other schools within the Rochester School District. The school building, located on Highway 12, has since been repurposed. The site now hosts community events and other activities.
